Grammy-nominated jazz pianist, composer, and producer Silvano Monasterios has performed, written, and recorded with an impressive range of acclaimed artists throughout his career. With six previous albums, as a soloist.

Commissioned by Chamber Music America through its New Jazz Works Program, and funded by The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, The River, one of his most ambitious projects, was released on April 4, 2025, immediately climbing to the top of the national jazz and latin jazz charts, and meeting glowing reviews from leading jazz publications. The River" is a sweeping suite composed for a nine-piece ensemble that showcases Monasterios' dynamic artistry, compositional depth, and his distinctive voice in contemporary jazz.
