Grammy-nominated jazz pianist, composer, and producer Silvano Monasterios has performed, written, and recorded with an impressive range of acclaimed artists throughout his career. With five previous solo albums, his sixth and most ambitious work to date The River was released on April 4, 2025, and was immediately met with glowing reviews from leading jazz publications.
Commissioned by Chamber Music America through its New Jazz Works Program, and funded by The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, The River is a sweeping suite composed for a nine-piece ensemble that showcases Monasterios' dynamic artistry, compositional depth, and his distinctive voice in contemporary jazz.
Now streaming on all major digital platforms, The River immediately climbed to the top of the national jazz and latin jazz charts after its release.

Also this summer, he will release Solo in Paris, his first solo piano album and seventh production. A collection of 14 piano pieces offering a different perspective on his prolific work as a composer.
